Dr. G's medical oversight

Every treatment in your quote is done under Dr. G's medical oversight. I'm the licensed RN doing the injection, following physician-directed protocols. Dr. G has 23 years of practice and about 12 years in aesthetics. You can look up my license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site.

What moves a filler quote

  • How many areas we treat.
  • How much product each area needs. Some areas are often a small amount; structural areas usually take more.
  • Which filler fits the job. Different HA fillers do different jobs.

That's why I don't post a per-syringe price. A number without your face attached can make a quote look cheaper than it is, or more expensive than you need.

What's included

Every price covers a free consultation, a plan built for your face, the treatment itself under Dr. G's medical oversight, and a complimentary two-week follow-up. If something needs adjusting at two weeks, I do it at no charge. You get a specific estimate before anything is booked, and nothing is injected until you've said yes to the number.

Paying for it

Financing through Cherry and CareCredit is available for treatment plans. Ask about payment methods at your visit. If the full plan is more than you want to spend at once, we can stage it. The pricing page has the full menu.

Product

The brand on your quote will be Juvéderm, a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. Which one goes where is decided at your consult. HA fillers are reversible.

Does it hurt?

Most people feel pressure more than pain. Some fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing medicine.

How long it lasts, and why that matters for price

The FDA says how long a filler lasts depends on the filler material and where it's injected, and that absorbable fillers break down over time, so the treatment may need repeating. Since filler is a repeat expense for most people, ask me at the consult what's realistic for your face.

Downtime

Some swelling for a few days is normal, and a bruise is possible. Most people go back to their day afterward. Leave two weeks before an event.

Your first visit

I look at your face from the front and in profile, at rest and moving, and go over your health history. Then you get the plan and the number, area by area, so you can see where the cost comes from. You can say yes to part of it, all of it, or none of it.

Safety

The FDA's page on dermal fillers explains the risks. Wait if you're under 22, since the FDA approves dermal fillers for adults 22 and older, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, because the FDA says filler safety there is unknown. If the skin where we'd treat is inflamed or infected, including acne, a rash, or hives, we reschedule. Tell me about a bleeding disorder, severe allergies or past anaphylaxis, a lidocaine allergy, or a tendency to form keloids or raised scars.

Common side effects on the FDA's list are bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, and itching, and many clear up within days to weeks. The serious one is filler entering a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage, vision problems including blindness, or stroke. If you notice unusual pain, any change in your vision, or skin near the injection site turning white, gray, or blue, get care right away.

What I can't quote online

A total, until I've seen you. The area pages above explain each area, and the services page lists everything else. For a whole-face plan, see facial balancing in Lake Norman.
