When you book with me, your treatment is done under Dr. G's medical oversight. I'm the licensed RN doing the injection, following physician-directed protocols. Dr. G is a physician with 23 years of practice and about 12 years in aesthetics. That means a nurse and a physician both stand behind the plan for your face.
Filler is priced per syringe and quoted at your free consult. The jaw and chin are structural areas, and how much you need depends on your anatomy and whether we're treating the chin, the jawline, or both. The pricing page explains how it's priced, and you get a specific estimate before anything is booked. Financing through Cherry and CareCredit is available for treatment plans.
Most people feel pressure more than pain. Most HA fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing medicine, which helps as I go. Tell me if you want a break, and we'll take one.
A soft or set-back chin can make the lips and nose look bigger than they are. For some faces, a little support at the chin does more for the profile than anything else. That's why I look at your profile from every angle before we talk about the jawline, and why I'll be honest about what filler can and can't do for your anatomy.
Done well, the change reads as polished. People see a cleaner profile, and they don't see filler.
Chin augmentation is one of the uses the FDA has approved for dermal fillers in adults 22 and older. FDA approval is product by product, so if you want to know exactly which filler I'd use along your jawline and what it's labeled for, ask me at your consult. The FDA also says how long a filler lasts depends on the material and where it's injected, and absorbable fillers break down over time.
I won't give you a number of months for your face. We'll see how the result is holding at your two-week follow-up.
Most visits run under an hour with minimal downtime. Expect some swelling or tenderness for a few days, and a bruise is possible. If you have photos or an event coming up, book at least two weeks ahead.
We start with your profile. I look at your face from the front, the side, and at an angle, at rest and while you talk, and we agree on a plan before I pick up a needle. Placement is deep and deliberate. Your included two-week follow-up lets me refine the contour once everything settles.
The FDA's page on dermal fillers explains the risks. Based on that guidance, wait or bring it up at your consult if:
The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, and itching as common filler side effects, and says many clear up within days to weeks. The most serious risk is filler getting into a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage, vision problems including blindness, or stroke. Get care right away for unusual pain, any change in your vision, or skin near the injection site that turns white, gray, or blue. You can look up my license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site.
Some jawlines get softer because of skin or fat changes that filler won't fix, and filler may not be the right tool for that. I'd rather tell you that at the consult than sell you syringes. If your best result involves cheeks or lips too, facial balancing covers how I plan the whole face. The full services menu has everything else.

It depends on the product and the person. The FDA says filler longevity depends on the material and where it is injected, and absorbable fillers break down over time.

Yes. Kat Chapman, BSN, RN does the injection, and every treatment is done under Dr. G's medical oversight.
It depends on your profile. A recessed chin can make the lips and nose look bigger, so sometimes chin support matters most. Kat decides with you at the free consult.
