I’m Kat Chapman, BSN, RN, and I live in Birkdale. I do lips at Canvas & Glow on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville, a short drive from the Village, and Dr. G is in the room for every appointment.

If you live in Birkdale, Northstone, or Skybrook and want lips that still look like yours, book a free consult with me. I use reversible hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, I start small, and you come back at two weeks so we can look at the settled result together. There’s no office in Birkdale Village. The visit is at Canvas & Glow on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville. I work there; I don’t own it. Call or text (704) 584-9785.
This is where lips and Botox differ. After Botox most people walk to dinner the same night. After lip filler, plan on a few days of swelling, and sometimes a bruise. The FDA lists swelling and bruising as the most common side effects and says many clear up within days to weeks.
So if you have plans at the Village on Friday, a birthday dinner, or photos on the lawn, don’t book lips for Thursday. Book at least two weeks ahead. That way the shape in the pictures is the one we checked together at your follow-up.
Some people who ask for filler really want the top lip to show a little more when they smile, with no added volume. That’s a lip flip, a few units of Botox above the lip, and it lives on my Birkdale Botox page. If you can’t decide, we sort it out at the consult before anything is injected.
Filler is priced per syringe and quoted at your consult. See the pricing page. Planning lips plus another area? Read about facial balancing.
We talk first. I look at your lips at rest and when you smile and talk, and we agree on a plan before I pick up a needle. Dr. G (Dr. Stephen Giordano, DO) is in the room for the treatment.
Numbing cream goes on first, and most filler already contains lidocaine. I build slowly and stop at natural. If you want more, we add it at your two-week follow-up instead of guessing on day one. HA filler can be dissolved, so you’re never stuck with a result you don’t like.
The full Huntersville details are on my main lip filler page.
The FDA’s page on dermal fillers explains the risks in plain language. Bring these up at your consult:
I can’t tell you how much filler you need or how long it will last for you. Both depend on your lips, the product we choose, and how your body breaks it down. I find out at the consult and the two-week check.
The rarest risk is filler entering a blood vessel. The FDA says the chance is low, but it can be serious, and it’s the reason this should be done by a licensed provider in a medical setting. You can look up my nursing license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site.
Northstone and Skybrook can use this page. Up the lake, Cornelius and Davidson have their own pages, and so does the Lake Norman shoreline. Every one of them comes to the same room on Sam Furr Road.
No. I live in Birkdale, but I treat patients at Canvas & Glow on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville. Call or text (704) 584-9785.
I do. I’m Kat Chapman, BSN, RN. Dr. G (Dr. Stephen Giordano, DO) is in the room for every appointment.
You can, but expect swelling for a few days, and sometimes a bruise. If the dinner is a big night or there will be photos, book your lips at least two weeks before.
Filler is priced per syringe and quoted at your free consult, the same for everyone. The pricing page explains how it works, and you get an exact quote before anything is booked.
Come to your two-week follow-up. If you want a change, I adjust at no charge. HA filler can also be dissolved.
Yes. Both are inside the roughly seven miles I cover, and the visit is the same one on Sam Furr Road.
