Jawline filler in Cornelius, NC starts with a side view. I'm Kat Chapman, BSN, RN, and before I talk about the jaw I look at your profile, because the chin often decides how the jawline reads. I treat at Canvas & Glow on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville, under Dr. G's medical oversight.

Every jaw and chin treatment is done under Dr. G's medical oversight. I'm the licensed RN doing the injection, following physician-directed protocols. Dr. G has 23 years of practice and about 12 years in aesthetics. You can look up my license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site.
From the front, a soft jawline looks like a jaw problem. From the side, it's often a chin problem. A chin that sits back makes the jaw look shorter and can make the nose and lips look bigger than they are. A small amount of support at the chin can change the profile more than a lot of product along the jaw.
So I study your profile before anything else. Sometimes the plan is chin only. Sometimes it's chin plus the back of the jaw. Occasionally it's neither, and I'll say so.
Jawline and chin filler is priced per syringe and quoted at your free consult. The jaw and chin are structural areas and often take more product than lips do, which is why I quote after I've seen your profile. A chin-only plan usually costs less than chin plus jaw. See the pricing page for how it works. Financing through Cherry and CareCredit is available for treatment plans.
Most people feel pressure more than pain. Some fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing medicine. Ask for a pause whenever you need one.
The FDA says how long a filler lasts depends on the filler material and where it's injected, and that absorbable fillers break down over time, so the treatment may need repeating. I'd rather judge your own timeline from what we see at follow-ups than quote months here.
The jaw can feel tender and look a little swollen for a few days, and a bruise may show. Most people are back to normal plans the next day. Photos or an event coming up? Leave two weeks.
Expect a lot of side views. I'll show you what I notice in your profile, where the chin sits relative to your lips, and what I'd change first. You get a plan and a price before I pick up a needle. At the included two-week follow-up, we compare the settled profile with where we started.
The FDA's page on dermal fillers explains the risks. Wait if you're under 22, since the FDA approves dermal fillers for adults 22 and older, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, because the FDA says filler safety there is unknown. If the skin where we'd treat is inflamed or infected, including acne, a rash, or hives, we reschedule. Tell me about a bleeding disorder, severe allergies or past anaphylaxis, a lidocaine allergy, or a tendency to form keloids or raised scars.
Common side effects on the FDA's list are bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, and itching, and many clear up within days to weeks. The serious one is filler entering a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage, vision problems including blindness, or stroke. If you notice unusual pain, any change in your vision, or skin near the injection site turning white, gray, or blue, get care right away.
A profile can also change because of loose skin or fat under the chin, and filler doesn't correct either one. If that's your situation, you'll hear it from me at the consult. If cheeks or lips are part of the picture, see cheek filler in Cornelius or facial balancing in Cornelius. The services page has everything else.

It depends on your profile. A chin that sits back can make the jaw look short and the lips and nose look bigger, so chin support sometimes matters most. Kat decides with you at a free consult.
